VISION 2024
A magnificent new project is about to begin in the city of Blantyre, where a new mosque will add to one of the cityscape features. This is the Blantyre Masjid Project.
It is envisioned that the mosque shall be completed in 2024, giving the general public the opportunity to go and worship.
Masjid with Islamic Education Facilities
The Blantyre Masjid Project shall also incorporate Excellent Islamic Education Facilities. With Islamic literature available, it shall allow the gain in Islamic knowledge in one place.
Project Milestones
Construction on site began in 2019, with works still underway, you shall be kept up to date with all the progress that is taking place until completion of the project.
- May 2019: Site Clearing
- July 2019: Excavations
- September 2019: Building Foundation
- Foundation Progress
- October 2020
- June 2023: Reached Mezanin floor
- August 2023: Roof Level
